Kwara State

WorldStage Newsonline-- The Managing Director, Guarantee Trust Asset Management Limited, Mr. Nicholas Nyamali, has expressed readiness to assist public servants in Kwara State in achieving a desirable retirement through quality financial freedom, asset management and risk intervention initiatives.

Speaking at a two-day workshop "Steps to attaining financial freedom" organised by the State Government, Mr. Nyamali said GT Asset Management Limited decided to partner Kwara State government due to the efforts put in place by Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed in ensuring welfare of the people of the state not only during their active years of service but also when they retired.

According to a statement by Abdulwahab Oba Chief Press Secretary to the Kwara State Governor, Nyamali said, "We have designed this gesture to ensure financial freedom among civil servants and help them plan for their tomorrow which shall soon come through retirement.

"It is worthy of note to clearly state here that this programme ought to have attracted the sum of N 200,000 per head but the governor has made it free for the benefit of Kwarans.

He emphasized that at the end of the workshop, participants would be better informed on how to plan for the future and the generations yet unborn.

Nyamali therefore assured Kwarans that GT asset management limited will continue to partner workers in the state through the government in helping them live a desirable life.

In his address, Governor Ahmed urged workers who are looking forward to retirement to engage in accurate planning rather than fear for the period.

He added that the major challenge of people in government and public servants are the fear of the unknown which will come after they must have exhausted the active years of service receiving monthly salaries and allowances.

"As a visionary leader and financial expert my hope is to see our pensioners waxing stronger through their foresights and investment vis-a-vis assets put in place", Ahmed said.
