NSE index dips 0.9%, as Airservice, Flourmills, Ikeja Hotel gain

WorldStage Newsonline-- Trading activities on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) Tuesday, closed on a downward note as market capitalisation dropped to N7.373 trillion as against N7.440 trillion recorded Monday, representing a drop of 0.9 per cent, while the All share Index also dropped by 0.9 per cent to 23,169.24 from 23,381.05 yesterday.

At the close of trading a total of 250,622,856 shares worth N2.3 bilion exchanged hands in 4,064 deals while 22 equity stocks appreciated in price as against 17 that depreciated.

Airservice Nigeria Plc led the gainers' table with a gain of N0.08 kobo to close at N1.73kobo per share, Flour Mills gained N2.50 kobo to close at N55.00 kobo per share and Ikeja Hotel Plc gained N0.05 kobo to close at N1.13 kobo per share.

Honeywell Plc led the losers' chart by shedding N0.10kobo to close at N1.90kobo per share, followed by Livestock Nigeria Plc that shed N0.07 kobo per share to close at N1.36 kobo per share and Champion Plc N0.16 kobo per share to close at N3.13 kobo per share.
