Ibadan (WorldStage Newsonline)-- The Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), Trade Union Congress (TUC) members as well as civil right groups and student bodies on Tuesday rallied round Ibadan, Oyo State capital, as the ant-fuel subsidy removal protest entered the second day.

The train left the Freedom Square (Mapo Hall) in the morning and traversed Beere through Gate to Iwo Road, before returning to the NLC Secretariat at Agodi.

Many youths turned the Ibadan/Lagos Expressway to football field owing to the scanty flow of traffic.

At many areas, particularly, Akanran hinterland, many people found solace in relaxing at palmwine when they could not get access to the metropolis.

Many people who could not find their ways to the town, drove to Akanran town along Ijebu Igbo, Ogun state boundary, and turned guests of a popular palmwine opposite the Akanran Police Station.

The situation in Oyo and Ogbomoso towns were not too different from what happened on Monday, but for the fact that some people opened their shops. They were however stopped by protesters who forced them to join the solidarity with the masses.

Many youths were seen engaging in football match on the Ogbomoso/Ilorin Expressway as motorists had deserted the road.
