Unilag’s CASA ends week with a touch of African art & culture

WorldStage Newsonline-- The Creative Art Students’ Association (CASA), University of Lagos has ended its end of the session program with a dinner night which featured beauty context and award presentation that were rich in African art and culture.

Speaking on the event which kicked off on the 30th of July with varieties of creative programs and cultural display and ended on Friday night, the President of CASA, Miss Ifeoluwa Owosuna expressed happiness over its success and her tenure.

She said the program was put together to demonstrate the practicality of what they had been thought in various classes all through the session. 

She advised other members of the association who she would be leaving behind, to stay focus on their studies and also observe the rules and regulations guiding the association.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of Miss CASA 2012/2013 which was won by Faramade, a 200 level student of Creative Art Department.

The event also witnessed awards presentation for some lecturers and students. Mr. Steve James, Mr. Seyi Kenny, Mr. Jimoh Ganiyu and Mr. Bolaji Ogunwo got awards for their outstanding performance and contributions toward the success of the association, while Femi a 400 level student was awarded the Best Academic Student of the Year.
