WorldStage Newsonline-- The bears dominated trading activities on the Nigerian Stock Exchange Tuesday as NSE market capitalisation dropped to N7.340 trillion from N7.417 trillion recorded Monday, a drop of 1.03 per cent, while the All share Index also recorded same downward depreciation to stand at 23,061.38 from 23,302.22 Monday.
While a total of 408,787,996 shares worth N3.6 bilion exchanged hands in 4,291deals, 24 equity stocks appreciated in price as against 25 that depreciated.
NASCON Nigeria led the gainers' table with a gain of N0.22 kobo to close at N4.63 kobo per share, Portland Paint gained N0.15 kobo to close at N3.16 kobo per share and Glaxosmith gained N1.33 kobo to close at N28.10 kobo per share.
Dangote Cement led the losers' chart by shedding N6.00 kobo to close at N114.00 kobo per share, followed by Chellarms Nigeria that shed N0.32 kobo per share to close at N6.11 kobo per share and ARBICO N0.95 kobo per share to close at N18.19 kobo per share.
