Nestle, Total, Nigeria Breweries gain, as NSE All-Share Index up 1.1%

WorldStage Newsonline-- Transaction on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange, Wednesday, continued on a bullish trend, with the NSE market capitalisation rising to   N7.001 trillion at the close of trading as against N6.924 trillion recorded Tuesday, a rise of 1.1 per cent while the All share Index also rose by 1.1 per cent to 21,930.90 as against 21,690.54 on Tuesday.

A total 270,216,046 shares worth N2.2 billion exchanged hands in 4,300 deals while 36 equity stocks appreciated in price as against 23 that depreciated.

Nestle Nigeria led  the gainers' table with a gain of N5.50 kobo per share  to close at N451.75 kobo, Total  plc gained N5.00 kobo to close at N130.00 kobo per share and Nigerian Breweries  gained N2.41 kobo to close at N105.00 kobo per share.

Guinness led the losers' chart by shedding N2.00 kobo per share to close at N225.00, followed by Mobil  Nigeria plc that shed  N1.90kobo per share to close at N131.00 kobo per share and NAHCO  plc N0.25 kobo per share to close at N6.00 kobo per share.
