WorldStage Newsonline-- In a bid to intensify the global fight against terrorism, particularly the Boko Haram in Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari has called on the world leaders to strengthen relationships across borders through   intelligence sharing among security agencies.

The president who disclosed this while receiving the Egyptian Ambassador to Nigeria, His Excellency, Mr. Aseem Muhammed Hanafi Elseify in Abuja said the attacks by Boko Haram within West African countries and across the borders were brought under control after concerted efforts by leaders to ensure joint operations in fighting the insurgency

President Buhari said the threat of terrorism to global peace was getting more sophisticated. He noted that a stronger relationship in terms of intelligent sharing will be of mutual benefit to both countries.

The Egyptian Ambassador to Nigeria in a remark said building partnership to tackle the security challenges faced by both countries would be one of his priorities.

He said the Egyptian government had already established a relationship with Nigerian security outfits for a continuous fight against terrorism in the region.
